Each of us welcome the different season of the year in our life differently. Sometimes a season reminds us of something bad or memorable experiences of the past. Anyway, our attitude towards it doesn't matter because the cycle of nature will come whether we like it or not.
In our home, we look forward for this season with excitement even if it will mean a smelly clothes dried by the cool wind. ( Hopefully and prayerfully we will have a drier soon ) , dirty feet and dirty slipper marks all over the Mess hall.
This is because every season has something to give to us that we can take advantage with. Our kids love every part of this season. On the first part of it softens the soil which signal us that it's time to till the land. When the water is accumulated up to the knee it is our time to plant the rice and later to move to farther more area to be cultivated to plant more vegetables. Our cultivated useful area is becoming bigger every year because of the rainy season.
On the night that we can hear the frogs singing suggest another delicacy in our kitchen menu. Maybe, to some like me the thought of it would give our tummy a different feeling but, our kids love it. When the working in the field is over then, it is also their time to play and run in the rain. It is the season that we have more hot soap in our plate and above all the season the we sit close together and cuddle each other on devotion time.
In our home, we praise God for the rain.
